TACHOfresh as exhibitor at the Thessaloniki International Fair – TIF 2024

Wildau – Germany, 07.09.2024 – TACHOfresh, provider of intelligent solutions for digital tachographs, will be exhibiting at the Thessaloniki International Fair from 07 to 09 September 2024

Germany will be presenting itself as the official partner country at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) at the beginning of September 2024 with over 100 exhibitors. The focus will be on logistics and digitalisation. A great opportunity for TACHOfresh to present its data management solution for digital tachograph data in the German Pavilion in Hall 13.

‘In the past, we had initial business relationships with potential Greek partners for our tachograph solutions. To date, we have been able to realise a small commercial project and pilot installations. We were therefore delighted that we were successful with our application to participate in the TIF as part of the German Pavilion,’ says Susanne Kirsch, Managing Director of TACHOfresh GmbH. ‘With our participation in the trade fair, we not only want to present ourselves as a competent partner for all aspects of tachograph data management but also learn as much as possible about the Greek market,’ explains Kirsch.

The transport and logistics industry is undergoing radical change. Advancing digitalisation and the introduction of the new so-called 2nd generation smart digital tachographs pose a major challenge. Experts estimate that by August 2025, a third of all commercial vehicles and buses will still need to be converted – around 2.3 million vehicles across Europe.

TIF visitors were able to find out more about ‘The digital tachograph in Europe – challenges from EU Mobility package1’ from Walther Bernard, Product Owner of TACHOfresh, as part of the German Pavilion lecture series on 9 September 2024 in the B2B Lounge.

The subsequent discussion with the audience showed that the major challenges for transport companies with the deadlines for the legally required tachograph replacement were not yet known everywhere in the Greek market. The topic of the new tachograph obligation for internationally travelling vans> > 2.5t from 2026 was also met with great interest.

‘For TACHOfresh, participating in the TIF was a complete success,’ summarises Kirsch. ’We made valuable contacts in Greece and found a very open environment that could also become commercially interesting in the future.’
