Mewa relies on new tachograph data evaluation software from BBG Automotive and TACHOfresh
Hofheim / Wildau – Germany, 15.05.2024 – Mewa Textilservice SE & Co. Management OHG, one of Europe’s leading textile service companies, has decided to cooperate with BBG Automotive and its system partner TACHOfresh. The DLB RDL software package for managing and administering digital tachograph data, which Mewa uses in its international vehicle fleet, was developed in close co-operation. It was supplemented by the PRO evaluation software for driving and working time infringements.
The European Mewa fleet with over 690 vehicles subject to tachographs in 13 countries was initially equipped with a standardized telematic on-board unit, with which the driver and vehicle data can be read out remotely. Michael van de Maat, Sales Manager at BBG Automotive GmbH, looks back: ‘It was quite a logistical challenge to plan the rollout across 13 countries and implement it quickly. We succeeded in this very well thanks to the excellent project support from MEWA and the great support of our partner Tachofresh.’
A particular challenge at Mewa was the branched fleet concept with over 40 fleets, which had to be taken into account in order to give the responsible fleet managers limited access to the driver and vehicle data assigned to them This also included the inclusion of additional national languages and the integration of the Mewa company logo on important analyses and reports. Another advantage for administrators is that they can now create analyses not only for the assigned fleets, but for all vehicles by just on click or alternative setting up a specific report schedule.
Matthias Kun, Head of Mewa Fleet IT Systems, explains: ‘With the new solution, we now have the ideal analysis software to ensure compliance among our drivers. In addition to the graphical display options, the program offers above all intuitive operation and the option to display and process all events in various logs and formats.’
Dr Susanne Kirsch, CEO of TACHOfresh, and Michael van de Maat, BBG Automotive, conclude: ‘This major project represents an important milestone for us and once again reflects the excellent, long-standing collaboration between BBG Automotive GmbH and TACHOfresh GmbH. The entire project could only be successfully realized according to plan thanks to high flexibility on all sides and based on very close contact between sales, development and support.’
